UNICEF - children participate in trick or treat for UNICEF program held on annual basis during month of October for Fall Celebration. All proceeds go to UNICEF
Food for Families - this is an annual activity that is organized every November before the Thanksgiving Holiday. All food is donated to local food banks and charities.
Pajama Program - this program is a non-profit organization which provides new, warm pajamas and new books to children in need in the United States, and around the world, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. These are youngsters who may not know the comforts of a mother or father to tuck them into a cozy bed and read them a bedtime story.
Children’s House Montessori School proudly gives our students many opportunities to experience “giving back” to their community through participation in several humanitarian programs. We believe that it is never too early to teach children the importance of helping those less fortunate than they are. Below you will find some of the worthwhile programs we support.
Hopothon (Muscular Dystrophy MDA Fundraiser) - this is a fundraising program and it is held annually. With this activity children are sponsored to hop as many times as they can. All proceeds go to Muscular Dystrophy MDA.
Toys for Tots - is an annual toy drive at the winter holiday time. Children and their families donate new toys for local children who are less fortunate.
Disaster Relief - when ever the need occurs the children have participated in collecting and organizing care packages to be sent to the disaster areas.
Appalachian Clothing Drive - is an annual on-going clothing drive begun by a Boca Raton firefighter who annually made a trip to the very poorest areas in Appalachia. The children and their families donate clothing for children and adults for the people who live in Appalachia.
